I’m here in Detroit, with 20,000 friends, comrades, and crazy beautiful everyday people at the US Social Forum. It’s day 3 here at the Forum, I’m right now sitting in a high-energy, multilingual (with simultaneous translation provided of course!) panel discussion about cross-racial alliance building between black workers and Latino immigrants: in New York and Oakland, but also in Mississippi and Tennessee. Tough, amazing, necessary work. I love it.
